Topic: Building Trauma-Informed and Resilient Organizations

Building a trauma-informed and resilient organization involves a multi-layered approach based on the trauma informed principles of equity, safety, trustworthiness, choice, collaboration, and empowerment.  The process starts with individual insights, moves to changes in organizational practices and ultimately system transformation.  This session is designed for individuals to recognize their strengths that contribute to creating the best an organization has to offer to their staff and the people they serve, to explore trauma informed and resilient leadership practices and reflect on the components that build healthy organizations.  

At the end of this session, participants will be able to:
1) Explore personal strengths that support a trauma informed and resilient culture
2) Learn human resource and supervision practices designed to promote resilience for employees, clients and others
3) Explore ways to promote strong and productive teams

8:30 AM: Light breakfast and informal networking
8:45 AM: Introduction of each Learning Community participant 
9:00 AM - 10:30 AM: Presentation and discussion
